Mojana is one of UNDP Colombia’s most ambitious projects, developed in partnership with the Climate Adaptation Fund. For over ten years, it has implemented social and environmental impact tools in the La Mojana region of Colombia, reaching more than half a million inhabitants and over ten municipalities across the country.
The Challenge
Design a website capable of reflecting the magnitude and scope of the project for external audiences, while maintaining a visual balance between the richness of the landscape and a clean, professional aesthetic.
The Development
The process began with defining a color palette inspired by the landscapes of La Mojana. We selected earth tones combined with vibrant greens and desaturated blues, evoking the rainy and dry cycles characteristic of the region. Then, we systematically reviewed all existing material: studies, publications, videos, and statistical analyses.
Based on this foundation, we constructed a narrative for the homepage that presents the territory as the protagonist. First, we showcase La Mojana and its context, then the challenge it faces, followed by the path taken to address that challenge, and finally, the institutions that have supported the process.
In addition, we organized the content generated over the last decade into five thematic pages and designed a fluid navigation system, allowing any visitor to grasp the scope of the project in just a few minutes.
